Hilarious Blunders in Business Interviews  

Consider Prince Andrew's infamous Newsnight interview, which highlighted the catastrophic consequences of poor preparation and lack of empathy. His performance was widely criticised for being defensive and disconnected, leading to a media frenzy with papers like the Daily Mail, Metro, and The Times going to town on the debacle. The coverage didn't stop on the day of the interview; it dominated headlines for days, emphasising the importance of media training. 

Warren East, CEO of Rolls-Royce, had an interview disaster where he appeared distracted and uncaring while delivering bad news, even smirking while announcing 9,000 job losses. This incident, reported extensively by some of the globe's biggest papers, demonstrates how body language and tone can significantly impact the audience's perception. The negative coverage continued for days, underscoring the relentless nature of media scrutiny and the critical need for effective media training. 

Another memorable blunder was by Sainsbury's CEO, who was caught singing "We're in the Money" just before an interview on a significant merger, illustrating the importance of always being aware of the surroundings and potential hot mics.
